May Miscellaney

As always, I'm about a month behind in posting my miscellaneous phone photos.  Although, I kind of like editing/blogging later because I have usually forgotten about the pictures I took and it's fun to remember what we were doing only one month ago!

I think the first few pictures were just a random morning that all 3 girls looked super cute and we had time to take pictures just before walking Mackenzie to school!
Although, with these 2, I think this was after we took Mackenzie to school because they have the dandelions which we typically only find in front of the school.  One time in May I think Miranda cried the entire afternoon walk home because there were no more dandelions.  It's hard to explain to a 2 year old, that they grow every morning and in the afternoon they are all closed up or blown away.  She wanted a flower and didn't care what time of day it was. ;)

Meredith was an "Architect" one day.  She was also super nice on another day and covered sleeping Miranda with a blanket.

Meredith's last day of preschool!  This was one of her teachers - the one she sat next to in class.  Thankfully her teachers attend church with us, so we still see them every week!

On the last day of school she brought home a pale full of stuff, a beach towel with her name on it and of course her memory book that her teachers make all year long!  My favorite is the top sheet where they show how much they have changed in 9 short months!

Oh, the wonderful faces of Miranda!

It's hard to stay awake in the car!

In May we had LOTS of rain, so this was one of the many days the girls got to wear their rainboots and jump in puddles.
Last year, Meredith dressed up to take Mackenzie to school just about every day.  This year, I never knew what Miranda would decide to carry.  For a couple of days it was a baby doll in it's carrier!

All 3 of my girls went to the dentist and had xrays and cleanings done at the same time.  I stayed with Miranda, but Mackenzie and Meredith went on their own with someone else.  Not a single tear and we were finished in 40 minutes!  That's a record for us! ;)

Oh my goodness - the way Meredith ALWAYS eats her donuts!

And finally, Memorial Day - our tradition of going to the neighborhood pool for the first time.

Birthdays and Playdates

In the month of May we had quite a few birthdays and playdates! I babysat a friends 3 girls one morning and since they don't watch a lot of TV I brought all kinds of crafts to do with them.  One of them was making binoculars for the 4 big girls.
We had a relatively cool morning for this particular park visit!  Meredith kind of likes these spinning things, but I have to be right there in case she decides suddenly to get off. ;)
Miranda was very excited to bring her new mermaid lunch box!

We had 2 separate jump house parties for 2 different friends.  Thankfully, both of them invited siblings to, so Meredith was able to go to Mackenzie's party and Mackenzie was able to go to Meredith's party.

We met several of our friends at the indoor play place at the mall.  It's not too big and all gated in, so it was perfect to watch the kids play while the mommas talked!

This was the line of our girls headed to the food court!  The 6 little girls enjoyed eating lunch at their own table next to the mommas.  Too cute!
After lunch, half of us went to the Disney Store to look around.  The little girls had never been in that store, so they really liked looking at all things Disney.  They were even lucky enough to pick out a special treat to bring home.  Meredith got a large stuffed cat, Miranda picked out 2 small stuffed tsum tsums and I picked out huge mickey/minnie slippers for Mackenzie. I was worried she wouldn't like them, but she LOVES them.  Yay!

2016 Summer - Week 2

Our Sunday started great with Bible Class and church, but then I got a headache that wouldn't go away even with medicine and a nap. :(  Here's a picture of Miranda during bible class.

I'll zoom in so you can see her face better!

She really was having fun even if she doesn't look it!
Monday we had gymnastics followed by lunch at the girls' favorite - Arby's.
Afterward we perused the aisles of Mardell's and then headed to the church building to work on my first grade classroom and lessons. We ended up staying there until 5:30.  Meredith was a big help...for a little while. ;)

Tuesday we hung out at home for a little while and then headed to Kroger to shop.  We also splurged with a starbucks gift card for a little snack in the middle of our shopping!  Since we bought Zootopia at the grocery store, we had a movie afternoon with popcorn and smores.

Miranda DID NOT like smores!  She thought the marshmallows were way too sticky!

Wednesday was an awesome day at our neighborhood pool!  We were there for almost 4 hours, but the last 45 minutes were spent eating our lunch.  Mackenzie learned to do handstands under water and Meredith didn't even put her float on.  They swam so much and so well.  Miranda even practiced swimming without her float!  The girls were jumping and having a good time the entire time!  It was so great!

Plus, Ben & Jerry's showed up to our park next door to the pool, so we got out for a quick bite of ice cream!

After being there for a little over 3 hours, we sat out and ate our lunches in the shade and then headed home.

Thursday we had a playgroup playdate at a good friends' house.  We ended up staying after everyone left and played even longer.  This is a picture of the girls before we left the house.  I'm glad I took it then because I think only one hat made it inside the playdate.

Friday was swim lessons and then we spent the rest of the day decorating our church's foyer for VBS this past week!

And Saturday included a visit from Nana and her best friend.  The girls were so excited to see Nana and Lynda!  Miranda had full pigtails that looked so cute on her!
Mackenzie made Miranda's bed and put a book near each section of her stuffed animals.
Another awesome week of summer complete!
