Summer Recap: Week 11

We've really packed a lot of activities into each week.  I try to do at least one "big" thing each week and week 11 was no different.  This time we tried a new play place that had just recently opened for kids ages 6 and under.  It was basically a warehouse with a bunch of dress up stations and play areas.  It was pretty crowded, but the girls had fun.  I only had my cell phone with me, so the pictures weren't great, but here are a few of the good ones.

They stayed in the store a long time.  We have a lot of the same play food at home, but do not have a cash register, so they really liked this.
Pretending to be an astronaut!
It's blurry, but the costume was cute.
These horses and zebras were cute.  You push down on the pedals and it moves it across the floor.  Meredith was too nervous/scared, but Mackenzie went back to this area several times!

The huge magnet board was fun for all three girls!

The plasma cars and ride a long toys were a big hit, but there were only a few, so they were hard to find a free one.  Meredith managed to secure the purple one!  They loved them so much that Brandon and I decided that's what the big girls would get for their upcoming birthday.

Miranda even had fun riding on a little bouncy toy.
So did Meredith.

Overall it was a fun morning and we'll probably go back another time.

Later that week we picked up the girls' reading trophies for the summer reading program at the library.  It was Meredith's first trophy, so she was super excited!

We met some old friends at a splash pad near our old house and the girls made some "new" friends even though they were old friends we just hadn't seen in a year!  Meredith is not in the picture below because she was finished playing and had already changed clothes.  It was a great time for me too, since I got to visit with my friends too! ;)

Miranda crawls everywhere now and crawls fast!

And to cap off the week we went to my parents' house to swim.  I forgot to post this picture, but here is another moment when Miranda is just too tired to give any smiles for the camera!
Summer is almost over!  Only a few more weeks to blog about, but only this week to enjoy and make the most of!  Lastly I'd like to leave you with Miranda giggling!
