RRSP: Letter W, 15, sight word: we

Two weeks ago (and one day this past week) we studied the letter W, the number 15, and sight word "we".  Our memory verse was "We love Him because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19.  She picked this memory verse up pretty quickly since it's short.  We discussed who "Him/He" was and how we can show our love for Jesus like He showed us.  Our craft for the verse was that same idea - different ways of showing love (pray, obey, sing...).  This went hand in hand with the previous memory verse, "love...in deed and truth" 1 John 3:18, so it was kind of a review for her and that's good!
For her verse coloring sheet she said she would color all of it, IF I would help.  I colored the letters and she colored the picture.  Jesus is purple if you were wondering. ;)
She likes to trace and talk at the same time.  Gee...talking non-stop, I wonder where she gets that from?! ;)

For our collage, we used "Winter" stickers.  What else do you use for W?
We also made a walrus:
Another coloring sheet:
Our miscellaneous activities included:
color picture sorting from 1+1+1=1
Pattern beads...
...we made our into necklaces when they were complete.
Number clipping...look at that concentration!
Putting our ABC's in order

And finally working with consonant sound cards.  She did pretty well with these, but had trouble with a few letters.  I only focused on the letters we had studied so far.  We will definitely continue to play with these cards as well as an alphabet mystery sound box my mother-in-law just bought us.
Overall, a good week even if we did 3 days of school over the course of 8 days.  Sometimes we just need breaks! ;)
