Brandon is in school all day every other Saturday. He goes to school every other Friday too, but Saturday is when Mackenzie and I really miss him. One Saturday after Brandon came home from school he decided we should take Mackenzie to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time.
I think she had fun, but it's really made for older kids, so she couldn't do everything. She had fun on the carousel, but always got off before it had finished. That's how most of the rides were - her attention span was about 5 seconds. See also the picture above - the car is still moving and she wants off.
Unfortunately, the games she "played" only gave 1 to 2 tickets per play, so she wasn't racking up the tickets for prizes really quickly. Brandon took about 2/3 of the tokens and came back with 100 tickets. In the end we had 112 tickets. We traded them in for plastic star shaped glasses and a little frog jumper toy. The lady behind the counter gave us the frog toy even though we were 8 tickets short.
On the way home Mackenzie was really quiet in the car. We think she was recovering from the sensory overload. She's since recovered. ;) I think it will be at least another year before we take her again.
