Decisions! Decisions!

As an 11 month old, there are some very important decisions you have to make! For example:

Juice or Water?

Mackenzie chose the third option - both!

That's not pasta, it's a tooth!

Last night as I was getting Mackenzie ready for bed, I saw something in her mouth and thought she had a piece of pasta in her mouth from dinner. When I went to brush her teeth, I thought I'd retrieve the leftover pasta, but nothing came out. I then proceeded to stick my finger and her mouth and that's when I felt a tooth. While feeling a tooth isn't unusual (she has 6 already), feeling one in the back of her mouth was. I told Brandon, "that wasn't pasta in her mouth she has a molar." He then stuck his finger in her mouth and felt that molar as well as another molar at the top! I didn't realize babies got their molars so soon, but according to this website this is about the right time. Who knew? I don't know when exactly they came in, so in her baby book I guess I'll put in about 11 months along with the other 2 teeth from this month. Mackenzie's on a roll - 8 teeth at 11 months. With 4 in one month, who knows how many she'll have by her first birthday.

Something new

So, Erin convinced me that Mackenzie would look cute in bows. Now that her hair has grown out a little, I can actually clip a bow in her hair and not have to use a headband. I think she looks pretty cute, but I know for a fact that I'm biased! :)

Weekends

I feel like I move from one weekend to the next. It's always about what I'm doing on Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Friday are the same:
5:30 wake up
6:00 feed Mackenzie
6:30 leave for work
7:30-4:30 work
5:30 pick up Mackenzie from school
6:30 dinner
7:00 give Mackenzie a bath
8:00 put Mackenzie to bed
9-10 put myself to bed

While the weekend still unfortunately includes feeding Mackenzie at around 6 or 6:30, it offers variation in the rest of the day. Each weekend I seem to plan some sort of "event or large task. I rarely have an open weekend (all my own doing - I know). Last weekend - hair appt. and life groups at our house. This weekend - lunch for my moms' 50th birthday. Next weekend - family portraits. I just looked at my calendar and was going to say taht I actually had nothing planned on Saturday Sept 12, but then I remembered I'm taking a meal to my friend who just had an adorable baby girl. While none of these "events" are real big, they still involve a little thought and planning. ie: what to wear, what tiem to leave, who's watching Mackenzie, what to pack in the diaper bag...
All week long I pretty much tink abou the weekend and what I need to do or where I need to go. Then the weekend comes and goes and I'm left thinking abou the next weekend! Does anyone else seem to live life this way? Please tell me I'm not alone! :)

*P.S. While my mom's lunch is no longer a surprise to her, the invitees are...shhhhh! :)

11 months

Yesterday Mackenzie turned 11 months old! I cannot believe that in 1 month she'll be 1 year old!

These pictures are for my mom because I made sure she wore pink for her picture this month (see comments to 10 month photos)! :)

Updates at 11 months:
Teeth: her 5th tooth just broke in this week
Eating: mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots, cheese yogurt, bread, muffins, deli meat, crackers, peaches, strawberry cake, pasta...whatever we feed her she tends to like!
Other: claps, attempts to make the "indian" sound with her hand and mouth, crawls, pulls up, stands up in her crib, walks when we hold her hands

Favorite Pictures

Actually, these are only my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks. To choose all time favorites would be impossible!

This morning in one of her new outfits!

I love spaghetti!

I'm super full!

Brandon checked on her the other night and found her like this. How cute!

I saw nothing in the video monitor that morning and this is why - notice the cord and pile of blankets in the corner of the crib? Looks like we will have to mount the camera to the wall.

A big smile to show off her teeth!

Getting a little daring!

Eating, Eating, Eating

When I drop off or pick up Mackenzie from school, her teachers tell me how good and how much she eats at school. Apparently the other day she ate "a lot" of her teacher's quesadillas, "a lot" of noodles (don't know what kind), and "a lot" of yogurt melts. This was all after eating her own lunch I brought her (2 big containers of baby food). After that her teachers might not want to share their lunch with Mackenzie anymore! At home the night before she had eaten her green beans and shells 'n cheese when I decided to let her try some strawberry yogurt for dessert. She ate the ENTIRE container! She loves strawberry yogurt! I only bought one of 5 different flavors, so it looks like I need to go back and buy some more strawberry. She's tried the peach and pear flavors and has eaten them, but over the course of 2 meals, not one. I'm really glad that she likes her food and tries everything. I realize she's only 10 1/2 months and can't talk back to tell me she doesn't want to try something, but for now she's eating it all! I hope she stays that way and doesn't become a picky eater like her momma! :)

I'll try and post a couple of pictures tonight when I get home of her eating. Last night she had spaghetti and of course, you know me, I didn't let her get too messy with the pasta but she did manage to get spaghetti sauce all over her hands, face and a little in her hair.
