Sunday we had a belated Valentines date.
First we went here for lunch:

I love their bread and the Alice Springs Chicken was great! Then we went to the theater and saw this:

I highly recommend this musical. It's really funny and a little different from the movie. Brandon said he enjoyed it also.
Other people in attendance were:
and their many secret service men. We were on the balcony above them, so we only got to see the tops of their heads. :)

While we were out, these people came to our house to watch Mackenzie:

Apparently, my dad is also our new "yard guy" since he mowed our back yard before we got home and didn't tell us. I think this summer we'll have to go out every Saturday, so they can come babysit and mow our yard! :) Thanks for watching Mackenzie while we had a wonderful "dinner and a movie" date.

What were you thinking?

Every one of us has a picture or memory of us as a child where we ask our parents, "What were you thinking?". For me, it's the bangs that started half way back on my head. For my nephew it might be the halloween costume that was so big and hot that he got sick from being out in the Houston heat/humidity. For the Meyer's boys I can almost say without a doubt, its the picture of them in their clown suits, NOT for halloween, but a formal picture.

In 15 years, Mackenzie will look at these pictures and ask, "What were you thinking?" This is what I'll say:
1. You were given this outfit by 2 different people, so obviously many people thought it was cute.
2. It was chilly outside and you needed a jacket.
3. Most importantly, it made me and your daddy laugh! :)

This is a perfect outfit for Easter, I know, but I don't think it will still fit her by then! Have a Hoppy Day!

Thanks to Moshi, Mackenzie was prepared for Valentine's Day and dressed accordingly.

Sunday - dressed for a baby shower

Tuesday - the strawberries kind of look like hearts

Wednesday - those are hearts on her shirt

Thursday - bigger hearts!

Friday - her school celebrated Valentines that day

Saturday - This outfit is actually from Nana. I think it's cute that her belly sticks out in this picture! :)
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day as a family. We went shoe shopping at the mall, went out to lunch and watched movies at home in the evening. We enjoyed every minute! Hope your Valentine's Day was as good as ours!

Ready to run!

Does anyone else think she looks like she's going to jump out of the chair and go for a run? Thanks to Moshi for the outfit and Nana for the shoes!

Fresh Air

This past weekend, I decided to see if Mackenzie would fit/enjoy her "big girl" stroller. We have the stroller frame that goes with the carrier, but we also have the regular stroller. We criss-crossed the straps for extra support since she's not sitting up on her own and went for a stroll. She looks really big in the stroller. I can't believe she's already 4 1/2 months. She really enjoyed being outside and talked a lot while we made the loop around the block.

Since I'm posting this picture, I thought I'd also post pics from a few weeks ago when I took her in the backyard and we played on a blanket. She also had lots of fun then to. Note to self - make time to play outside on weekends.
